Good is all relative/subjective based on taste and cost (value).
The answers you will get will vary. My suggestion is for you to try both.
I enjoy the Nestor Reserve Maduro. The El Mejor not as much.

The El Mejors need quite a long nap at low 60s RH. 6-8 months between 60-65% and they become a good mild cheapo.


The Nestor Reserve is a little different. The bundled version that CI/Cbid carry are WAY different than the boxed version of the "same" cigar. Not any better or worse IMO, just different. You can snag the bundle version on Cbid for under $40/bundle and you can get a box at JR Cigar's auction for under $50 usually.

I really like the El Mejor, but as stated they need at least 6 months of rest before they are smokeable. Pretty harsh before that. But definitely a great smoke at about a buck a stick of cbid.

The Nestor I tried I didn't really care for as much, but it was only one and it coulda been due to other reasons than a bad stick. I try not to form opinions on cigars till I have at least three.

They are close to each other in taste. For what it's worth I like them both but IMHO the El major has a more even burn. You know it's funny I had planned a similar post tonight but you beat me to it.

I was gifted a couple of El Mejors. I was very suprised! Nice flavorful smoke. I kept waiting for it to hit toward the last third, but it stayed smooth through out.

I like the Nester...I have some El Mejor's but I haven't tried them yet.

I really like the El Mejor Espresso's right now. I just let them sit in the humi for a few weeks to rest from the trip, and they are a great smoke. I probably smoke 4 or 5 of these a week and havn't hit a dud yet.
