Re: Frequency of opening humidor in cooler temperature

I open mine a lot, doesn't matter a whole lot if you just look at them for a few seconds, smell them...

I took all of mine out of the cellophane because it looks nicer and smellllllls nicer...

It takes a while for a cigar to dry out, so you shouldn't worry about it too much. People dry-box them for days, and, as previously noted, they are left out of proper humidification for as much as a week during shipping...

I was able to finally categorize each scent lol! They range from barnyard to woodsy, floral, and coffee-like. I'm stoked that these just seemed to have appeared all at once.

I just fell victim to this- assumed my analog hygro was dead on and kept adding humidification... bad idea. Now I have a bunch of split wrappers

Anyway, I open my humi once a day probably. As many have said already, not a problem. Gets air circulating and lets you admire your stash.

A bit of advice for when you buy your humi:
-buy no smaller than 200 sticks. You WILL fill it.
-buy beads+ digital hygro. Saves time and money and worry
- don't get a glass top humi. Plays hell with my humidification and also restricts where I put it- dont want a bunch of sunlight hitting it.

If these babies taste as awesome as they now smell, someday I'll be doing all of the above!
