For me the many quiet moments of solitude that I have enjoyed with a friend who was willing to go up in smoke just to make me happy.

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005

I had a lot of fun here this year.

The three highlights would be:

Lighting up the BBF to celebrate Brigit's birth
The bombing war Da Klugs and I had.
Working with Anita and Frank on the Fireworks for the FOGs bombing run.

Good topic NavyDoc!

The Edisonbird Run... everyone got together to let a BOTL know how much we all care about him. I hope we helped to make his last few weeks a little brighter. Thank you Gary for giving us that chance.

The way this family reaches out to help another BOTL when they're down is a family we're proud to be a part of. Thank you all for allowing us to be a part of this great CS FAMILY!!

I certainly echo my wifey's sentiments, Thank you Gary(radaR) and I'd also like to thank you for one particular difficult morning you called and we talked for a half hour so. Very helpful sir. All the fun we had at the VA crew herfs at a great place with a great host in uncle Mikey. All the phone herfs with my buddy Mark(catfish). Oh yeah the eatin and drinking back in October here on the porch herf. All the phone calls with you guys talking life and cigars. Mark, Don, Jason, Pete, Dave, Alan, Gary, David, Greg. The Oklahoma herf was awesome, thanks Alan, Greg and Mike.

Biggest regret was missing the Shack Herf.

Altbier hooked me up at the beerfest as a "volunteer" which meant I got in for free and drank for free, BUT we were supposed to pour beer for the vendors if they needed us to or if they could find us. We did out best to lay low but this one guy from a microbrewery out of Baltimore called "Clipper City" grabbed me and asked me if I'd pour beer for him. So this guy walks away and leaves me alone in the Clipper City tent. As people came up, they'd naturally ask about the beer so I suddenly evolved into the "Clipper City Pimp" expousing all the virtues and finer points of a beer I had never heard of just five minutes ago, LMAO!! Altbier sees me doing this and starts rolling on the ground laughing his arse off.

Thus my custom member title. Another great ClubStogie memory for 2005
thats one of my favorite memories of the year too. What a great weekend, 2Am Friday night we close Legends, Car show with tons of cool european cars on Saturday morning, beer fest, and then dinner at a brewery. (And the tree frog that jumped on my son was priceless)

My other favorites were the two trips to Florida. I have made a lot of good friends down there, and look forward to visting again the beginning of 2006.

Herfing with Uncle Mikey is always interesteing, and the food awesome.

It was great meeting icehog, donjefe, Jeff, Hollywood, Da Klugs, their spouses, Bill (who could forget Bill?), and getting my ass kicked by AnnieGar in cornhole. Meeting you guys face to face was worth the ten hour drive.

Cheers!

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005

Great thread, Navydoc!

Finding CS ranks high on my list of Best of 2005.

Meeting with and making new friends - Rock Star, dumonweb, backwoods, Da Klugs. Really look forward to continuing this run, hey Chicago you're only and hour away!

The trades have expanded my cigar experience far more quickly than I could have done alone. The advice and the just plain sillyness of the board brings me back several times a day.

Thanks CS!

Joining in april and thinking Klugs was some sort of all seeing all know FOG... boy was I wrong. Now I know he's just a 'slopee' or 'slopehead'.
Shortly afterwards sending out two bomblets to opposite sides of the world (Ohio and Westrn Australia)
Being part of the first Who Wants It pass.
Seemingly assuring a few people not everyone from Britain is (too) strange
My first round exit from the Ohio-Virginia Buckeyes Tennis tournament.

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005

My personal best memory of 2005 was the support and kind words provided by so many members during the period that my Niece was in a coma and during her recovery.

I thank you all once again for your thoughts and prayers and to me this type of thing shows the character of the people that frequent this forum.

Merry Christmas to all!!

p.s. Mocobird, if you happen to read this, extra thanks to you!!

I forgot about the FFF bombing run.. what a BLAST I had with that!! The bombs are always going off around here but when it becomes a war or a run, it's just amazing how this community pulls together.
