I have to say that radar donating his Raffle winnings to Club Stogie was high up there on my list. That was a very generous and thoughtful action from one of the greatest BOTLs on here.

I'm only here for a few months, but............
In that short time my favorite memory is Mr.C & Lt. Rich with their CS adopt-a-soldier Christmas offensive. GREAT JOB GUYS! Which by the way, I don't think is done yet! |

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005
I would have to second, or third that of Anita, MsFloydp, the out pour of genoristy to Edisonbird was unbelievable. I was honored to be part of it. Gary, unbelievable gester on your part. To have a friend like that, a friend for life would be one special thing. I bet his last moment's on this Earth were full of great memories. I just hope when My life is over that I can have some lasting memories like that. I never meet Edisonbird, but he seemed like the kind of guy that all the members here at the (Push you over the slope and won't throw a rope Club) are. 2006 will be just as memorable. Peace to all, and as Doc would say, Cheers
(quote) The Edisonbird Run... everyone got together to let a BOTL know how much we all care about him. I hope we helped to make his last few weeks a little brighter. Thank you Gary for giving us that chance. |

Best memory - getting to meet Pat, Dan, Steve and Jim online then meeting face to face in Houston monthly herfs.
Most infamous moment - crash back in Sept, when I lost two months worth of (worthless?) credits and such, and got reduced to NooB status again. But I'm over it by now.

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005
Hands down best moment for me was the SoCal herf, but one incident in particular. When Poker was about to auction off a cigar given to him by a BOTL that passed on and I believe "gorob" was the first to shout out "I'll bid x amount for you to keep it!", the bids went higher and higher and I don't think there was anybody there who wasn't fighting back the urge to shed tears. There truly is a comraderie among cigar smokers unlike any I have ever encountered and I'm happy to be a part of it!

Re: Best Club Stogie Memory of 2005
Meeting several of our Texas members at the little impromptu herf a few months ago. The big herf in the spring should should be much better! Lots of fun!
Bombing runs......I had a blast putting together the packages and sending them out. Meeting a few of the members here at some local cigar events, and surprising them with a "happy sack" of stogies. The laughs we shared...... Golfin' and drinkin' and herfin' with that jerk croatan......that's always fun! (What I can remember of it.......we really should look into some sort of 12-step program....)The Edisonrun bombing run. Wow. What a great cummunity we have here!! Radar's huge pass with no name. What a treat to be a part of it! Even my wife couldn't believe how many cigars were in those two boxes!! HUGE!! The various arguments, and "wars" I've had the pleasure to read here. Very entertaining to read through! Sometimes, if it wasn't for this forum, I'd die of boredom at work! Oh yeah, (Almost forgot) I was mortally wounded when I was the victim of a little springtime bomb HERE'S TO A GREAT 2006! (Don we now our bomb apparel.....FA LA LA LALA, LA LA LA LA!)
