Cohiba store at The Block (OC, CA)

I went by the Cohiba store while I was at The Block yesterday, I was going to see Pineapple Express, saw the store, had to go in. I noticed their very very few of their cigars were in any kind of humidor... most of them were just in open cigar boxes... still in their cellophane, but all the same, I was quite put off. They look like they're trying to sell themselves as a premium shop, but really?

Oh, and they keep their double doors propped open, so it's not like the whole store is humidified or something like that, plus it's a small store, so it's almost like one wall is totally missing.

Have any of you ever gone into a cigar shop, expecting something lavish, and find it so half assed?

I suppose they had some wax sealed glass tubos which they hadn't been able to ruin, but damn! I think they also had some pre cut cigars in plastic bags, what the hell, seriously, this place made me baww.

I also came upon a kiosk in Disney Land selling fake Cohibas later that day... *sigh* the hits never stop, eh?

Did they have a walk-in or a hutch style setup?

Its' a corner store, so they have two walls with cigars, and two glass walls with accessory shelves and doors, the doors are always open and the cigars just out in the shop. Extremely over priced also.

Wow, cohibas are top of the line you can get in alot of stores in my town. Do the people working there not realize the cigars are probley crunchy by now? Do they sell to tourists or what? And if they do thats really terrible making someones possible first experiance with a cigar a very bad one.

I bought my first cigar at that kiosk at Downtown Disney in April of this year. I think I paid $12 or $13 bucks. I'm not sure what brand it was but it was a vanilla flavored cigar.

Isn't using the Cohiba brand without permission trademark Infringement? I'm sure General Cigar would love to find out that the brand name of their flagship Cigar is being used by such a sub par establishment...
