Must have been Town and Country Cigar in Texas. These haven't hit any other B&M's....yet, soon though.
It was gifted to me at herf held at The Cigar Merchant, from a brother in Lafayette, LA. He works there and I assumed that it came from there. He may have been aquired them elsewhere.

Here's the deal. I just had my last older torp, and I noticed something - the maduro portion on the older ones is significantly darker than on the newer ones. I then looked at all of my twists - and all the older ones have a darker maduro twist.

For those who have had both, how does this affect the flavor profile from one to the other?

I did have a Twist PC, and thought the flavor was much different. I had it right out of the bag and wrote the difference off as not giving it the appropriate rest time.

Thanks for your time.
I noticed something in your post. You keep referring to the previous cigar order as older. How long did you have them? Were they kept in a humidor/coolador (obviously)? What RH did you maintain the cigars at? All of these can affect the color, but should have little to do with the flavor of the cigars. IMHO!

I'd say the previous cigars are about 4 months older (in my humidor). The color was different right off the bat - that is what I was curious about. Ring gauge will affect the flavor profile a bit, that's why I didn't think much about the difference between the larger RG Twists I had previous to the PC. (Yes, I got in an order of 10 PCs right when they first arrived)

Rob, I thought as much - as you said, the flavor shouldn't change much due to the lighter color of the maduro leaf - but the aesthetic appearance was definitely noticable.

Was going to let them sit a bit before trying them and was curious if the flavor profile might be different.

Thanks for all the answers - especially your chiming in Rob.

I am sure they will be wonderful, just was curious.
