Its No Wonder That We Spend so Much $$$!!!

I've just recently over the last several months delved more seriously into this great hobby of cigars. Only smoke 3-4 per week, but I'm just absolutely amazed at the vast variety of great smokes available.

My last 3 cigars for example have been a Punch Chateau L Maduro Churchill, a Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro Maduro and tonight a Oliva Serie G Maduro Churchill and it's like each cigar is tastier than the last!

I'm like a kid in a candy store who wants to try one of everything! I think a "cigar demon" has possesed me!

Hold on tight. It is a bumpy ride.

I know what you mean. I have only made 2 box purchases so far. I buy mostly samplers on here and singles. I now have 4 humidors filled up and I need to buy a cooler now.

My mistake was I wanted to have a box of everything, good lord where I'm at one and a half years later. If I smoke one cigar a day and never buy another one I could probably smoke for like 2 1/2 years....sigh.

And I am probably stocked up for three or four years, and there are a few orders that have not arrived yet. I love this hobby.

Wow, welcome to the slope. Wait until you end up with a 3000 count humidor.

Yeah, that's what I told myself.
Now it's 1 every day, with 2 on weekends. Odds are better than average, it'll be 2 a day and 3 on weekends real dang soon.

There are something like two thousand different handmade brands you could try (just NCs!) so at the rate you smoke it would take you ten years to try just one of each!

What makes it worse is when you read posts that say "Yeah, the toro was pretty good but the petite corona was better" because to try each vitola once would probably take you fifty years or more!

Then there are the new releases every year--you just can't keep up with everything. If you want to see the ridiculous details get a hold of a copy of the Cigarcyclopedia--it will list all of the brands with wide distribution along with all of the vitolas.

It's a slippery slope indeed. The only thing holding me back is that my humis are maxed out. Otherwise, I'd be in more trouble.
