Oh ... and a quick "neaner-neaner" to the other teachers: I don't have to teach until the spring semester ... and even then it's only one class ... two days a week.

Jealous of teaching adults. I'm sure intro classes can be aggravating though, with all the just out of high school crowd. My dad hates teaching intro classes.

Depends on whether the intro class is required or elective. If required (something like public speaking), it sucks ass. If elective (something like intro to Latino/a studies), it can be pretty fun. I don't teach required/core intro classes anymore, though.

I'm gonna smoke a special stick tonight in honor of my last day of Summer Vacation. All of you BOTLs smoke one in honor of all the teachers who are returning to work. Smoke one and pray that we make a difference and help our students' minds to develop in the proper way. And hopefully we will have a positive impact on them this year.

I've seen many of the parents of my son and daughter's peers at school. There is no way a teacher can succeed teaching anything to 60% of the kids I've seen because their Mom & Dad are freaking insane. Way too much social work being done in the schools these days because of parents who don't want to raise their kids. I'll smoke a couple for you tonight as I couldn't do your job.

I have been a high school teacher for 14 years and the teachers went back today. Only I was not with them as I have left education to tackle engineering. So I am smoking a casa torano in honor of both my new job and you fellow teachers. Go get em!!

Have numerous friends in the education field. For most of them, classes start this week. I'll light up a Padron 40th as a way of saying thanks and later play The Police song: Don't Stand So Close To Me for all the dudes who must avoid temptation.

I go back a week from this Wednesday and am NOT teaching at the local university this semester, so I'm pretty excited about that. Usually I like doing both, but I'm not feeling it this year and needed the break. I am the head of the social sciences department for a high school here in town and was "asked" to come back next Thursday. I told them there was no way unless I was getting paid I'm not giving up my last 4 days of summer, no matter what

Just finished a Bolivar (NC) tubo of some sort to officialy end my summer vacation. Powerful smoke. Nice way to end it. Back to work tomorrow.

I am a college professor and i have been teaching two days a week since July. I go to three days a week September 3rd. In college you can yell and scream at them but adults, I don't think so............
