I assume it's so you can buy "Montecristo" smokes in the states, but how do you know which one you are getting?

I'm asking because I'm from Australia, and I'm currently looking around for a good place to hit the slope and if I'm going to buy a Montecristo, I would prefer that it is a Cuban Montecristo, if you know what I mean.

^_^
We can only buy Non-Cuban(NC) cigars in the US. All Cuban products have been under embargo since the early 1960's. You should not have any trouble distinguishing betweent the NC and Cuban products. No reputable store will try to deceive you, but dont be afraid to ask.

Cool, thanks, but when you say "You should not have any trouble distinguishing betweent the NC and Cuban products", is there anything specific I should be looking for?

If you buy it over the counter in the US it probably isn't. Cuban cigars are a big-time-no-no in this country unless you are a politician or a movie star. Fakes are a common problem. Better to buy them elsewhere. Also, don't get caught bringing them in.

Re: Good Newbie Brands?

Your second list looks pretty good, but I'd skip the Helix if I were you.

I don't know ANYONE who likes them.

Someone mentioned that they ship to Canada but I can't seem to get it right. When I go to checkout is only lists United States as the country.

I haven't heard too much on the Helix either way, one person said they were good and now there's someone saying the opposite. Hmmmm, what to do.....

Thanks Shaggy on the . Those orders will help fill up the humi nice.

Well had my balloon deflated a bit today, went to place these orders and found that all are not ordering options . Either not shipping to Canada or don't 'play ball'. Any suggestions to get the above stogies for a Canadian?

Re: Good Newbie Brands?

Another fantastic sampler is the "Mild and Mellow" sampler from CI.
I LOVED them all.

http://www.cigarsinternational.com/p...20and%20mellow

I just looked a CI and they dont say if they ship to Canada or not.
Try and place the order and see if it goes through.
