jrcigars.com Samplers

I was browsing the samplers they have on JR and since i'm new to cigars didn't know which would be a good one to try. I guess the only help i can give is that my favorite cigar so far has been a MC white #2 belicoso.

Re: jrcigars.com Samplers

I had bought the NATSA sampler and they were decent. Run a search on Magic Mountain and see people's opinions on them. There are a few that seem good.

You may also want to check out http://www.cigarinternational.com. They have a number of samplers with a larger variety. Or have some real fun and go to cigarbid.com to bid on samplers. Yeah that's it.

I wouldn't use JR's personally. Their management sucks. CI and CBID are both good suggeestions. Also check out Holts, they have some really good samplers there.

Actually I like cigarbid better, If you know what you want...I know that they are the same company but compared to catalog prices cbid is the best...

Re: jrcigars.com Samplers

I'll chime in with everyone else to endorse CBID. I have previously bought samplers from JR and was directed to CBID, (often refered to as The Devil Site), through reading lots of posts here in the forum. There is no comparison as to price and variety of selection. Just remember, when you win 'em you gotta pay for 'em.

Re: jrcigars.com Samplers

I shop at both JR and cbid. JR has some decent specials occasionally that are good to grab while they last. CidarBid/CI has a wider selection and their customer servers is EXCELLENT. You can send them messages right from the website and get timely replies and they are willing to admit to mistakes and send replacements and offer shipping labels to return things.

Cigars International has some good samplers. I like the taster packs. You choose the fullness of the cigar and you get ten of that fullness. They come with some pretty good cigars at a good price.

I also noticed you have to be careful on cbid. I just saw a couple samplers go for almost 20 dollars over the retail price at jr.

Yeah but Neptunecigar.com and a few of the popular online vendors don't sell cigars 2 Canadians unfortunaely. Trust me, i tried. , another option is if u have American friends who live close 2 the border who can buy it 4 u online and u pick it up later.

or, once you establish a few friends here, you can have stuff shipped to one of us, and we'll reship it to ya. I'm fairly certain that with the insane tax rates you guys have in canada, it would be cheaper to pay shipping twice than to buy at a local B&M, am I correct?

neptune does ship to Canada. I've never bought anything from them (or online at all) but it says so here:

Cigars International seems to have better samplers. JT and Thompson have good deals on samplers, but usually include some of their own smokes in there. Not that they are going to be bad smokes. I have never had their brands. It is just that I would prefer to get name brands.

I've had Thompson house brands... twice... the second time, I burned myself wit the cigar, and I was HAPPY, because I got to quit smoking it. That's how bad they are..

Re: jrcigars.com Samplers

Sorry Millow i forgot 2 clarify my post. I phoned Neptuecigar.com a week ago. They told me that they ship 2 Canada non-tobacco products (ie. humidors, accesories, etc.) but not cigars, it does not make that point on their website. The only alternative they agreed upon is that u get a P.O. box close 2 the border and have your order shipped there 4 pick up.
