RyJ Reserva Real

after work i went to a cigar shop in West Allis, WI. here we have about four good cigar shops in the area (that i know of). I am in the process of searching for more cigar shops. One shop that many people go to is a place called Tobacco World, which is a nice place, but i think i like this place better. its called Smokers Club (on Oklahoma and HWY 100). this place had a nice selection. some cigars that stood out were some of the more pricey Gurkha's, they a good selection of Fuente's, and some Camacho Triple Maduro's and they were at a decent price, but i wasn't in the mood to buy a pricey cigar. but i was searching for some RyJ Habana Reserves, but they didn't have them and i dont think many local shops have them. so i say they had some RyJ Reserva Real's and i decided to buy it since i never had a Reserva Real yet.

so i was wondering what to expect. i think i might smoke it on Friday. It kinda worries me since it looks similar to the wrapper used for the Montecristo White Label which IMHO is very bland. so those of you who have smoked this cigar, what do you guys think?

It's been a long time, but I remember them being kind of a standard connecticut shade, mild, smooth, with a decent taste.

I'm curious too. They don't get a lot of love around here, let me tell you what...

Re: RyJ Reserva Real

I don't get a chance to smoke alot of cigars, but I've had 2 (churchills) of these during my past 2 golf outings...

the first one was great.. I remember it being smooth and having a consistent oak / woodsy taste. However, I didn't enjoy the second one. It could have been caused by a difficult (lots of wind) light.. but it burned hot and uneven and I was never able to get the same taste..

it'll probably be a while before I go back and try the rubber cigar.. as there are many others I want to try.

A nice mild smoke, nothing extraordinary but very consistent.

Yep. They are nice for a milder smoke. Try it in the AM with a cup of coffee.

Definitely a good morning smoke. I have enjoyed all the Reserva Reals I have had.

Very smooth, creamy with hints of wood and just a touch of spice. A good mild cigar, imo.

Love the RyJ Reservas. Smooth smoke. New to the cigar smoking process.Only gotten serious within the last 7 months. So far the RnJ and La Gloria Series R have been my go to smokes.

Re: RyJ Reserva Real

I love them. I`m a mild -med smoker. Nice flavor, I smoke mostly corona size. It is IMO a bit smoother than the 1875 and about the same as the Vintage.
