Montecristo Platinum Offer-Not!
I signed up for the $9.95 three Montecristo offer a while back on the Altadis site. Well I think they came in today. Except instead of three Montecristos there were four Vegas Finas
 Checked my CC and there was a charge from Tobacco Products Fulfillment for $5.95. So do you think this was just a mistake on their end or a bait and switch? |

Read the fine print. They reserve the right to send substitutions. FWIW, I like the Vega Fina's. A good solid medium bodied, full-flavored cigar.

Dude, you got hosed!
Consider it a $5.95 lesson and save those smokes for the in-laws. A little polite inquiry via e-mail may yield some results. A mention of your membership in THE on-line cigar community may not hurt. When I was little kid my grandmother wrote to Bazooka because I didn't get a prize in my box of bubblegum she bought me. They sent her a whole case! Give 'em a chance to make it up to you. If you don't hear back then caulk it up to "let the buyer beware", "read the fine print", etc. Good luck.

I was going to send off for both samples from Altadis, until I read this. Thanks for the heads-up.
Anyone else who sent out receive theirs yet and if so did they get Montecristos/RyJs or something else in their place?

I received the Montecristos and smoke them, I think I'd have been happier with what you got.
