LOL I think that was Seangar who made your new years a little better! I forwarded your email to him.

Really, a big thanks go to you guys who put it all on the line to keep us safe over here. Dont think you are forgotten or unappreciated.

Happy new year!

Due to limited funds, I wasn't able to get in on the last bomb, but if there's another, I hope to be able to contribute, I can't thank you guys enough!

The Truth

As silly as it sounds we truly could not do this without your's and the other people back home's support...There would be no reason if we felt we had no one on are side..Most of us when we got here felt like we where fighting someone elses war..and though that still may stand true for some...We do no why we are here...and most of us would do it again in a heart beat if meant are way of life and those we care about's way of life was in jeopardy...Thankyou all again and Godbless

Re: Thankyou from a soldier

i see you found your way to the site... welcome, post a hello in the "New Gorillas Forum" so everyone knows who you are. looks like another soldier coming into the fold!

BB - do you think you could talk to the guys in your platoon and see when a good time to get together for a smoke/photo op would be. i know you guys are kept pretty busy so we will try to schedule it around when you all are available. If you all have smoked all your stogies, dont fret, i will spot one up for who ever needs it. I think posting some pics would be a good way to say thanks to these guys who sent the stogies. Send me a private message or respond on this thread and well figure out a good time.

IF you can get the time and guys set up, I, along with some brothers( i hope) will send over a "Herf in a box" okay might be a couple of boxes but would be every thing you would need for a herf though.

Re: Thankyou from a soldier

We'll keep you posted, might be a good idea, esp. for some of these guys that have none of the gear... I can spot up cigars without a problem (thanks to all the BOTLs here), but i only have so many cutters and such... I will see what we can do about setting up a CS - Afghanistan herf and let you all know. Thanks again Mr. C, you keep going above and beyond...

Re: Thankyou from a soldier

I'm in for the next bomb as well... whoever organizes it just PM me.

I helped set up the new cigar lounge on the USS Vicksburg in Nov., and my friends who helped donate to that group could be called on again to pony up a bunch of smokes and cutters for the troops like Spc Birnbaum here... those guys/gals over there get my respect every day.
