Re: Perdomo Lot 23

I got a 5 pack of nats off CBid recently. I have only smoke one of them so far, but thought it was a nice mild creamy smoke with no after taste.

All-in-all, I'd buy it again for a nice relaxing mild smoke.

Re: Perdomo Lot 23

The one natural Lot 23 I smoked tasted like a tin can. The maduro version I really enjoyed.

At $54 for a box, I am not sure you can find a better 'budget' smoke

Re: Perdomo Lot 23

Perdomo is one of my favorite brands and I really am trying hard to understand this cigar. I had a couple of the Nat's and they were good for the buck for sure but I didn't see anything special but they were new and I never judge them on a single try.

Last week I picked up a few more and got two maduro's as well wanting to see if they are much if any different.

I smoked a robusto maduro around noon yesterday.

The cigar is well made and has a good pre-lite aroma to it . I made a rookie mistake and cut too much of the cap off which to me allows more chance of any tars that might form on the cap to interfere with the taste on the lips, which in fact I think it did.

I noticed the 1st third of it had what seemed to be a piney flavor, at least it was to me. It wasnt bad but it seemed to be a little harsh.

Mid way through it the piney taste went away and it mellowed out and got a little spicy, and continued to stay mellowed out all the way to a nub that never got hot or harsh.

The ash was even and had a good color to it, and the burn stayed even.

The only negative I found to me was that semi harshness that I sensed during the first third, but it wasnt bad enough to hesitate going further.

All in all I liked it, as did the nats of the same size. It's not very complex as some I have tried but as I guess everyone here is mostly saying, its good for the bucks!!

Re: Perdomo Lot 23

These are a really good and consistent smoke. I started with a 5er form CBid and quickly burned through those. I then got the maduros and loved those too. I've since bought three more 5ers of the maddies and 1 more 5er of the nats.

For the price, you can't beat them. I think a box goes for $50 or $55 at the Party Source.com. Take the recommendation from your brother and dive in.

I like these!

I bought a bundle of naturals from Cigar International, probably a www.joecigar.com daily deal in the spring. They needed a couple of months rest in my humidor (shipped way too moist) before they smoked well. Now they are smoking nicely. Medium & mellow.
However, in this price range I much prefer the Perdomo ESV seconds http://www.cigarsinternational.com/p...m=CS-ESB&cat=3
That's one fine smoke @ less than $4.00 a stick for a robusto.

I got a box of maduro's from the devil site a few months ago. I have to say, they are a great smoke, especially for the price. They are quickly becoming my everyday-workin'-outside smoke. I really enjoy these.
