There are some very helpful and friendly people around here… be careful not to alienate them with some misdirected feelings.

Rather than speaking in terms of "hard or soft", try thinking in terms of relative humidity or RH. Have a look around the forum for information concerning RH and the variables that can contribute to a cigar being hard or soft.

Calm down, I am fully aware of the loaded nature of your question. You want people to say 'soft' so you can complain about a vendor who sent you 'hard' cigars.

BTW to try and answer your question. I believe we have all pretty much smoked one or another. I dont know if there is much to tell from a cigar being hard or "squishy" I have had great cigars that were hard or squishy....

its not about that ...it was a simple question ,.....when you got to the store to buy a cigar do you buy the hard 1 or the soft 1 ?...im a newb so which 1 should i buy ?

I don't know the difference between a hard cigar and a soft cigar. I just enjoy them. I keep my humi at 65%

Cigars are to be enjoyed.......you shouldn't worry about them being 'soft' or 'hard'

It's a preference as to which one. If you like a drier smoke get the hard one....if you like a wetter smoke get the softer one. This is something u will have to find out for yourself.......There, goin back to my popcorn

Given that the cigar is at a reasonable RH and roller has done his/her job with regards to the draw I would have to say that it is a personal preference.
