CI Cigar of the Month Club

Has anyone tried Cigar Internationals Cigar of the Month Club? Just curious if anyone has tried it and if it was worth the money. An inquiring mind wants to know. Thanks in advance.

no but i did tell my wife i joined, so i can explian the 5 boxes a month from CI

Was tempted a while back. You never know what they are going to send which can be a good thing for someone starting out wanting to sample cigars. If you look at the samplers available on CI.. the cigars in them will most likely be the cigars in the club sends. MFG's send bundled versions to CI and others for their sampler packs. (Thats what the buy at the CI store told me at least in regards to them.)

I have been toying with the idea for a little while now. Just was hoping to get some feedback. I think it may be fun to get a surprise once a month, but it won't be fun if every month they send me crap.

That's been my holdup as well. That and trying to convince the wife that it's a necessary expense.

I belonged to cigar.com's cigar of the month club, for 30 bucks i got 5 cigars every month. I didnt think it was worth the money, but it is good for people whoa re just starting out. Every month there was a new theme. One month it was medium bodied cigars and i got a COA Criollo, a Perterson, a H. Upmann, La Aroma de Cuba, and Cusano Double Connecticut. The following month the theme was COAs and i got a few from their line including a brazilia, a gold, an italia, a maduro and a Cameroon.

Did any of that help? It was neat getting something new every month, but by then the CS offensive on me had begun and i was getting more stogies than i could give away! I would say joining a club like that would be worth it if you had a narrow exposure to different cigar brands.

My wife bought me a subscription to CI's club for Christmas. I will get my first shipment around the 17th. I'll post back what I get and whether or not I feel its worth it.....

I took a look at it and passed. Just seemsed a little to high for 4 sticks of who knows what each month. I would take my money and goto your B&M and pick some out yourself each month. Just my

I have thought about it as well, but I'm one who is worried about what exactly they will send. It could be a nice deal if they do send some good cigars, depending on where you live it may be cheaper.

You could also go down to the cigar shop and pickup four new smokes each month and call it done.

For the most part, the club will consist of cigars that are not selling well. You are far better off taking that money every month and buying stuff yourself.

I think you will be better off finding cigars you like and spending that money on them.
