Re: Large Ring Guage
Not only that the wrapper overlaps itself and the filler is not solid. But for the sake of the ratio comparing 2d:3d vs 2d:3d still gives a somewhat accurate description of how the ratio of wrapper to filler is greater in the smaller ring gauge. It is admittedly flawed on many levels but works. I thought about the cross section and even straight volume of leaves but knew that the equations on that would be calculus. And its been a few years (15) since I did that.

Re: Large Ring Guage
I think I just love cigars.
![]() I pretty much like all sizes. ![]() A large portion of my collection are lanceros (38-42), but I need to have time to smoke and enjoy a lancero (hot boxing lanceros is not a good idea). Then, I also have a good amount of robustos and toros in the 5x50 - 6x50 range. I love the amount of smoke you can get out of a cigar this size. I find myself smoking a lot of double coronas and churchills these days as I only smoke once a week and want it to last. So those would be in the 48-49 range. Some of my favorite cigars are coronas (42-46), although I don't smoke a lot of them these days as I want the experience to last a little longer. Then comes the large RG cigars. Although I have not tried a ton of large RG cigars, I really enjoy the Tatuaje Gran Cojonus (6x60). I find I need to smoke them a little differently (not as deep of an inhale), but when I have three hours to enjoy one of these, man they are good. I have a Padron 7000 in my misc box and actually bought some Nubs the other day to give them a try. I also have a large Coronado I got a while back, so I definitely have some large RG cigars I need to smoke. Actually, I think I am going to smoke the 7000 this weekend, I have been looking forward to it. ![]()
