Scored some Schwag

Decided today at lunch to take a little walk and stumbled on a B&M around the block some. They hand roll a lot of their own there. I ended up buying a CAO Italia for an after lunch smoke and ended up BSing with the owner for a little while and he threw me a few sticks el free-o. Figure I will try them out in the next week or so and if there any good I'll buy a few more sticks to share with the board.

Thats pretty sweet. Its always great when you can get to know the people workin at a place and build a relationship. Makes coming there more a pleasure, they give you better service cause they know you, and its good for them cause you keep coming back.

Treat your customers right and they will come back. I'd have no problem patronizing a B&M like that.

Sigh... it'd be easier for B&M's to market if they basically had a deal to charge 10% over the best price I can get online + the s/h and local taxes.

So if a box cost $80 and s/h was $15, I'd be willing to quickly pay $80 + $8 + $15 = $103 for the same box right there.

Instead, the typical B&M will charge something like $120, forcing me to look REAL CLOSE at getting the same thing for $95.

Or maybe people could qualify as "Frequent Flyers" by qualifying for the better rate after purchasing $250 in goods from the B&M.

I want to support local B&M's, especially here in herf-hostile Southern California where the likes of Rob Reiner and Barbara Streisand would like to outlaw stogies , anything that tastes good and, worse, any shiny goblin-scaring toy that makes very loud noises.

It was their own blend. a couple with a Maduro wrapper and a couple with a Connecticut shade wrapper. They are said to be a Nic/Honduran filler. I figured I would give them a few days in the Humi before I smoke them. I will let you know how it goes.

No it's on 9th Ave in Manhattan. It's a real small shop, so if your not paying attention you would walk right past it. Were is Lakeville Rd?
