I was overwhelmed and forgot about your Q.
Anything at WallyWorld.
They have any size you want.
As you're walking round with a box in your cart, you're sure to see another box you need

That's Richard's travel herfador! From the first Sierra Nevada/Chico herf! If you ever get the chance to meet Richard you will learn he comes prepared for serious herfing. Moka pot(complete with his own stove), pipes, various scotches for tasting.

To the OP, I noticed some of the cheaper rubbermaid's at WM have loose fitting lids(not good). Wheels are good if you plan on having a mobile collection but otherwise they are a waste of space and money. The large marine types are great if you want to keep everything in one place.

Re: Cooler of choice for a coolerdor?

I have a 150qt Coleman that has ben working great for the past couple years. It does not go mobile like Tzaddi's, but it works great as a stationary cooler. I should also add, I have set it up to stand upright, so it doesn't fit into most vehicles.

Re: Cooler of choice for a coolerdor?

The Coleman 150 qt. marine cooler from walmart would be my choice.
See the pic Ron posted above? You can stand it on end, add shelves, and make a totally sweet setup out of it.
You could even set two side by side and only take up the same or smaller footpint.
I have an Igloo 100 (or 120) and I'd far rather have that 150 cause mine won't accept shelves. and so forth. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for a couple of them to replace my 120 for conditioning beads.

No offense but I would hate that.

That is why I will never do the cooler thing. I am not going to have one sitting in my den and I am not going to store my cigars in the pantry. For extended car travel it seems like a great idea but not in my house.

Re: Cooler of choice for a coolerdor?

FANTASTIC answers fellas! Thanks!

I gather from the above that a Marine cooler that is preferably 150 quarts with REAL hinges is the way to go for quite a few of you guys

Another nice thing about the Igloo marine coolers is that all the parts are replaceable. Hinges, plug etc can all be ordered as parts for easy replacement in case they break.
