read that from him not that long ago elsewhere. with the maduros going into full production next year i wonder if he will put these out again then, or if this is really just a one time thing. the cabaiguan 46 maduro's became a staple for me while grilling. i'm looking forward to my fiver coming in. might just order a box but i will find out tonight/tomorrow just how good these are.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

I was given a few by a friend and although the lancero isn't my size of choice I couldn't resist giving these a try.

The first one I smoked was quite good; very enjoyable in all respects. The last two however had serious draw problems and rendered them barely smokeable.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

just got a fiver from new havana and had to try one at lunch. had a slight draw problem, but not enough to be that bothersome. very nice full flavor, some pepper initially, but not overly strong. think this one will be in the regular rotation.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

I order some of these a few days ago. They should be waiting for me when I get home. I don't know if I'll be able to wait to smoke one of these on the weekend!

Thumbs up Re: El Triunfador Lancero

I'm smoking an El Triunfador Lancero right now at the request of a buddy. Pretty full bodied for a Lancero, which is quickly becoming my favorite cigar. Great smoke so far...will have to be really great to beat the Alec Bradley lancero.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

I thought these had come out about a year ago. I'll post a pic of what I have. If it is the same thing, they are great smokes.

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw that the cA article is almost a year old. That is the cigar I have.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

They did come out last year. Seems he has just released them again and from what I understand will also release in another size.

Re: El Triunfador Lancero

I tried a few and they're not for me. Had burn problems and the taste was ok. IMO, not worth it for the price I paid.

I've yet to come across a Lancero that can beat the Oliva V Lancero.
