Using desktop humi for a coolidor?

Hi there folks,

I'm interested in getting a coolidor. But the problem is i don't have many boxes and i don't live near a B and M.

I currently have a desktop humi 30ct that has served me well. Right now I can barely close it because it is overflowing.

Just wondering if this makes sense ?

Would it be possible for me to just put the desktop inside the cooler and leave the lid open? Then the spanish cedar in the desktop can be the wood used to regulate my humidity. I also have a small tube of heartfelt beats, and gel to help also.

Thoughts?

Phil

No problem. You can leave the lid closed or barely cracked and it should be fine.

Re: Using desktop humi for a coolidor?

Why is everyone concerned about putting cedar in their coolers? Just leave the cigars in the boxes they came in. If you have tons of singles, go get some cigar boxes from your local B&M. They should be free or $2 per at the most.

I think it is sad you are going to put something nice looking into an ugly cooler.

Any chance there is a b&m nearby that you can score some old boxes from?

Re: Using desktop humi for a coolidor?

If you have a lot of singles, 5pks, or bundles (like I do), get yourself a few cedar trays. I've for 4 in my cooler. Cigars I buy by the box stay in their boxes.
