Cigar Hangover

Ive realized that when I smoke a stogie later in the night. Say around 9-10pm or later, I tend to wake up with hangover type feelings. Ive noticed this on a few occasions. Is there anything I can do to try to prevent this? Besides smoking earlier (I'm a college student and dont have too much time other than at night.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Or am i just going crazy at a young age.

Nicotine hangovers are not uncommon. You just have to build your tolerance.

Here are a few threads about it:

I tend to have the same problem. I've tried telling my wife that it is never the alcohol that tend to accompany the cigars

Re: Cigar Hangover

I usually eat something sweet, like ice cream, before going to bed. This might help avoid a nicotine hangover since sugar is an antidote for nicotine poisoning. Of course, if you've been drinking, you're probably going to get a hangover from that too.

Re: Cigar Hangover

I didn't think it was possible, boy did I learn. I tried my first JDN Antano, and I nearly chucked my biscuits. After a night of the spins and general malaise, I woke up to a serious Cigar Hangover. Not long after waking up I found there were MANY threads on the issue, some even pointing out the JDN is a noobie killer. Wish I read them beforehand.

Re: Cigar Hangover

Yeah, I've exerienced that before. I just try to drink plenty of water along with my other drinks and make sure that I have plenty of food in my stomach. If I start feeling the effects, I'll have something sweet to help counteract it.

You are a college student. Are you sure it isn't just a hangover. I have experinced many hangovers but never from cigars. I guess I have had a life of too much excess. It has been fun though The more you smoke the better, right??
