What NC is most like an ISOM stick?

Exactly, I have had nearly every premium NC out there and now find myself always reaching for cc's, no matter the brand. Not a single nc I have tasted has ever reminded me of a cc. The only thing that came close was Pete's new La Riqueza, but thats only in the look of the packaging. I guess if you cant match the flavor profile try to make it look like as Cuban as possible.

However, that doesnt mean there arent great nc's out there, but they just arent even in the same ballpark with even the most pedestrian ccs.

I'd have to agree with those who mentioned Pepin--particularly Tatuaje. While nothing is going to replicate my PSD #4, Tatuaje seems to come closest to capturing some of the "spirit" of ISOM (I know... a lame word choice...).

Anyways, alls I know is that Tats--especially the Reserva line--taste real good.

I said Tat Brown Label before, but I would pretty much expand that to nearly any Pete Johnson/Don Pepin Garcia stick. That said, I think DPG's rolling quality is superior to Cuba. His triple cap is always perfect. Draw, the same.

I keep hearing this rumor about a cigar manufacturer with all of these plans set up for the day the embargo drops. I think that PJ and DPG are the only ones who could pull this off.

"ISOM stick," I believe, is the medical terminology for the finger prick performed at hospitals to test your blood sugar.

Therefore, cigars most like having your skin pierced painfully and squeezed thereafter for further effect would have to be any of the "bargain" cigars at CI or the devil's site.

For you, I would recommend the Cremosa Cubana.
