Ever Smoke With A Celebrity?
When I started smoking cigars I was surprised by the number of celebrities that enjoy a good stick. I've had the opportunity to smoke with three well known people, Al Sharpton, Colin Quinn, and the guy Avo's are named after.

Quinn and Sharpton happen to be two extremely funny people. Which confirmed my suspicions that the writers on Saturday Night Live had a way of making very funny people, unfunny.

How about you guys?

Well many times actually. One time, Mo the Man, on Saturday, Poker the next day. A couple of times with both at the same time!

Depends on who you consider famous. Smoked with Manuel Quesada of MATASA (big jerk), and club stogie's favorite banned member CigarTom at the first jersey herf (who's actually a real cool guy).

I have smokes with a couple of local celbrities and sports figures at Cigar dinners. Mostly Bruins players.

One time I stopped in for a Scotch at the Punch Bar in Boston on Christmas Eve after finnishing my shopping. I smoked with one of the Evening DJs from the Classic Rock stations. Talked with him and the bartender for a few hours on Scotch, Cigars and music. I guess he would often go there before his shift. Played a couple of songs for me too.

I got an email for an Evening with Avo from 2-guys Smoke SHop on March 31. It sounds like a fun night. Avo will play piano with a Jazz band at the event too. It will be $100 and you will get some cigars, including a special one rolled just for this event, his 80th Birthday. I am not sure if I will be able to make it though. I may be away then.

Had a cigar once with Ray Borque at the little league park.

Our kids were in the same league.

Also had a cigar with James Gandolfini at the Sopranos party in AC in 2003. I have a photo as well. I will try to post later.

You might be away? The chance to meet Avo... Well, he's supposed to be a bit of a philanthropist from what I've read... could be some good conversations... andhe's supposed to be amazing on the piano. And you might be away? Man, I'd try my hardest to be home.

No but I smoke around about 148 PGA tour players every year at the Tour Championship at Sawgrass. I'm sure there are a few other famous people there too.

Back when COMDEX used to exist, one year instead of going with my usual geeky tech friends, I drove with a close friend who was a professional standup comic and his buddy, also a professional standup comic. During the drive, instead of the usual geek talk, they were riffing off one another, kind of a dueling banjos think with comedy.

I was driving both ways from LA to Vegas and I didn't need coffee. My face hurt for a few day from hours of laughing. I'm not kidding.
