You don't get off that easy; most politicians are lawyers.

What type of business do you own?

Here in CA there is a smoking ban on the beaches and I haven't seen a sign yet.

That's about right.
I'm not saying all lawyers are a$$hats but if you look at the reasons why ...

No. I'm not going there because that would be thread jacking.

Ha ha, it's true here in Mass. most lawyers are politicians . . . wait, that's not right. Okay, out here in Western Mass. most of them are ex-hippies that won't smoke tobacco but fight to legalize that other stuff. I would love to bring a constitutional challenge on behalf of a smoker or business who has been fined under a ban ordinance. Class action, anyone?

Besides, it's kind of in style right now to be oppressed.

Now why, if we have a statewide smoking ban, would every business have to buy no smoking and smoking signs? It seems like you could quickly figure out where smoking is allowed and not allowed by looking around and asking yourself "Am I inside or outside?".

Violators face fines up to $1000
As I read through the posts I notice that none of it makes any sense unless you listen to the discussion during last nights debate. If elected Obama wants to get people to take more preventative measures. Could he mean that if you smoke or eat fatty foods or involve yourself in risky behavior as determined by a bureaucrat that you will be denied health care or you will be turned away from a doctors office or hospital? Who knows where all of the nuts will take this next? Personal freedoms are disappearing and they are disappearing very quickly. Enjoy your freedom while you can, it won't be here much longer IMHO.

Re: PA ban: My business was just notified...

Are there specified signs that you have to post, or could you just print something off of your computer?
