PA ban: My business was just notified...

...That we have to post no smoking signs throughout our store. As well, we have to post "Smoking Permitted" signs at every entrance where smoking is allowed.

Now why, if we have a statewide smoking ban, would every business have to buy no smoking and smoking signs? It seems like you could quickly figure out where smoking is allowed and not allowed by looking around and asking yourself "Am I inside or outside?".

When they passed the ban in Alaska, we just went further into the back to smoke while I was building nets. Sucks, but there are ways around it for some businesses.

I think the point is the business owners now have the added expense of the signs.

Don't blame us lawyers (we love cigars). These bans are courtesy of politicians, and baby boomer health freaks who saw their parents die of lung cancer from smoking cigarettes. If it weren't for tobacco company lawyers fighting tooth and nail we'd have a total national ban by now.

Here in Mass, most of the politicians are either lawyers or insurance brokers.

This sounds just about right for PA.
I'm sure there's a perfectly valid reason for it that makes no sense whatsoever.
I bet the Game Commission is in charge of all this.
