I'll have to echo the Mark Twain and Bob Marley suggestions as well as adding Johnny Cash. I've seen a couple mentions of George Carlin, while he could be very funny and I imagine a great conversationalist, he was not a big fan of cigars or their smokers. He referred to cigar smoking in his act as "sucking on a big brown d#$@."

As an old Deadhead, I would say a PPP with Jerry Garcia and Pigpen.(I don't think we'd smoke cigars though)(Not that I still partake in that activity, been over 15 years)

I would have to say C.S. Lewis. I know he was a pipe man, but I think it would be great. I am reading a lot of his works now. Not, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe stuff though. I am truly fascinated and think he would have a lot to share with me.

I too would pick my Grandfather over all. I wish I could remember his stories of WWII and growing up during the depression. I would love to hear those again. I was just too young to appreciate it at that time.

This is an easy question. I would definitely smoke with my grandfather. I grew up with him being in the father role (lived with my grandparents through childhood) He died in my arms in october of '02 and not a day goes by that I don't remember him fondly. He without a doubt was the best man I ever knew and I would give anything for just one more visit with him and a nice smoke for us to share in would be icing on the cake.

Well I will state the first one that came to my mind - Jimi Hendrix - I figured maybe he could give me some guitar lessons since we're both lefthanded hehe. He was my first real music idol when I was in high school. Used his music as background to a video we did for a high school class. That got me an A.

Ditto, passed away before I started smoking. I've got fond memories of being in the back seat of the 'K-car' wiffin' Cubans as my grandfather drove the countryside of Quebec.
