The Taboo Bug Finally Bit Me

After reading many reviews I finally broke down and put together a sampler of Taboo cigars for an order.

Sampler contains 1 of each of the following:
Taboo African Cameroon Toro
Taboo Costa Rican Maduro Toro
Taboo Dominican Maduro Corona
Taboo HSG Toro
Taboo Special Forces Original Toro
Taboo Special Forces Boot Camp Toro
Taboo Twist Toro

Realy looking forward to getting these later this week and to finding out what all the buzz is about with these cigars.

I just figured the Twist was more marketing gimmick than anything else, but there are a LOT of people around here who swear by them, so I'm sure I'll eventually have to break down and order a few of them, just to see what the fuss is about.

I have never had a barber pole style cigar before and I kind of felt the same way you did about them being a gimmick but you are right that a lot of people here on the forum really seem to like them so why not try one.

Enjoy. The twist is nice. Not just a gimmick.

I like the HSG and SF boot camp the best from the selection you got.

A good friend First NST trading partner Vin (Massphatness) turned me on to these.
The Twist was my first box purchase from Rob. When that was almost empty I picked up another (box of twists) of torpedo this time from a BOTL for a very good price. Very good smoke IMHO not a marketing gimmick.

+1 for the Twists. One of my fav cigars. I'm almost out - won't be long until I place another order on those.

Thumbs up Re: The Taboo Bug Finally Bit Me

It's not really a Taboo bug it is more an infection. Taboo cigars are terrific cigars. I have been gifted some and purchased several from other members. These are great smokes.

Hello Bob, I recently rec'vd a 5er of the Taboo Dominican Maduro Corona from Rob, along w/the newly released SFO Petite Corona. Smoke the Dominican ROTT and it definately curled my toes in a medium body sense. A very tasty stick indeed. I've had the SFO in robusto The HSG in toro that are just a few that stand out for me. Probably should of ordered the HSG in Petite Corona too. Next time though. Enjoy those smokes Bob and write up a review on your thoughts

I didn't think they did either.

I guess I though PC or Petite Corona was a 4.5 x 42 or 44 and that a 5.5 x 42 or 44 was a regular corona.

My fault folks. I thought Taboo had them listed one time as PC's, but are listed as Corona's at this time on their site. And you are correct that a 5.5x42 is a Corona size
