Diamond Crown or Diamond Crown Maximus

has anyone tried these yet if so is it worth the money ?

I have had both. I had a box of the DCM No. 4, i have about five left. They are pretty good cigars, a bit pricy for NCs. I have heard a lot of B&Ms claim they always push patrons to buy those when Opus are sold out (having heard this when I worked in a shop). Personally, I see no relation to the two cigars. But you should go out to the local shop and try one of each.

I like the Padron 1926 better, But the DC was a good smoke.

I smoked a torp DCM while in Vegas at Casa Fuente. Great smoke!!! Never had a PAM, but it was nice.

I thought the cigar was full bodied, strong flavours but very little spice. Which is exactly what I like. In Vegas it was very pricey buy I found decent prices on CB.

Never had a DC. I'd suspect it'll be a lighter version. Give both of them a try.

DCM is one of the better smokes out there and I think that they are better then Opus. Yes, for the price, availability and consistency I like the DCM better. If I remember correctly they are similar blends to the Opus X as well.

the DCM is a similar blend to opus. i prefer the DCM but they are pricey. the reg. dc is a good milder smoke. almost every fuente line has a blend soppose to rival the opus x.

For awhile, I was on a Diamond Crown - Pyramid #7 - Maduro kick. Really enjoyed these cigars. By mistake, I was sent the natural version...nothing special there. Never tried the Maximus. As much as I would like to smoke the #7 maduros on a regular basis, I cannot justify the price.

Love the Maximus--The DC is not even close

This is full bodied and smooth--Go for it--If you search around you can find a good price for a box--do a little comparison shopping

I have tried both of these and don't really see why the cost is so high. Just goes to show you that taste is relative to what you like. Don't let cost talk you into what is good, try a variety of cigars and let your taste dictate what you like, not the cost, not the hype or any marketing. Unfortunately for me, I love the Opus and wish I didn't because it is higher than I like to pay and there are other cigars at around $4 that I like alot. So many cigars to try out, enjoy the journey.

I've smoked both as well and prefer the DCM over the Opus any day of the week.

A bit on the pricey side, but worthwhile if you've got the extra cash laying around.

Two very different cigars, the DCM is a very full smoke that is rich in flavor. The DC was a nice smoke, but just too mild in flavor for my taste. I think that there are better smokes for the money, but the DCM is worth trying at least once.

The DC was the west coast Opus. Not quite as good,. Not quite as strong. I like the DCM almost as much as the Opus and they are easier to get and about the same price. They are definitely worth a try...
