after market bead tubes

i got a one oz tube of humidification beads from Viper for the humi i have on lend from Oompa Lumpa... also just ordered half a pound for the new humi i recently ordered. it's overkill, but i'm OK with that.

Any ideas for a home made tube?

Actually is probably a better suggestion that the tubos. Trust me, I use both.

Drilled what I thought were small holes in the tubos. The beads have a tendency to split and crack into smaller pieces, which are falling out of the "small" holes I put in tubos. My main stash of beads are inside a piece of stocking that is then inside of one of the original plastic foam holders. Looks original, and does not drop bead pieces everywhere when I move it.

Otherwise, several places where you can buy ready made tubes.

Heartfelt has empty tubes in 1/2, 1, 2 and 4 oz. sizes. If you run the numbers, it's cheaper to buy the empty tubes along with the beads in the 1/2 or 1 lb. bulk bags.

Double redundancy...again.

I suggest something similar. I use stockings to hold the beads and then throw the stockings inside something else (tubos, plastic foam holder, baby food jars, etc). I find this method keeps the beads from spilling and provides a barrier.

I prefer this method to just having a sack of beads in the humidor.

You want to ask her first as her first response might be a slap in the face. Though, the second might be a "a little to the left".

Re: after market bead tubes

You can also find a number of different tubes on eBay. I found some cheap one that worked great.

Actually smoky, those are JUST tubes.. no beads inside, hence the uber-cheap price (~2.50). The only place I would ever buy beads from is David at heartfelt.
