Is this Mold?(New and Original Topic!)

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure I'm just in denial, but if anybody has any good news please share. I have 4 '06 sharks that look like this.

I believe it is - looks 3 dimensional and fuzzy. Hope I'm wrong but either way not a huge problem.

dat be mold. I've had a cameroon shark do the same thing. Once it starts creeping up the foot, you may be in some trouble. Clip off an 1/8th inch off the foot. If you see more spores, clip more. repeat until you see no more mold. Then smoke it. No use in holding onto it any longer.

It's hard to judge how far up the cigar the mold could be forming.

Some people may tell you to pitch it because it's not worth the health risk, but that's up to you.

Mold in the foot is a bad sign but you may be able to salvage most, or at least some of the cigar. Sorry to see the moldy sticks though.

Bummer on the mold. I'd pitch it and check my humi. Switch to beads or pillows if you are using a spounge.

It's the starting stages of mold. I'd smoke it RIGHT NOW!!! It will not effect the taste at all, as long as you don't let it get any worse.

It may be. As mentioned earlier, just cut a little off the foot and if you see mold then cuta little more. You may only need to cut 1/4 inch or so if it hasn't penetrated too bad.

Odd. You usually only get mold from water spillage. Of course not the only way and may have gotten contaminated elsewhere and you got the brunt end.

You can try what was mentioned above. I personally wouldn't, but you can try.

Re: Is this Mold?(New and Original Topic!)

I've seen mold reverse itself & disappear before. I used to attribute it to the propylene glycol in the media, but now I realize (much more than I used to) that I don't really know why.

I wonder if a UV light source could perhaps kill the spores?

Smoking it as we speak. First Anejo ever. Bittersweet loss of Anejo virginity...

I have also killed a little mold like yours with rubbing alcohol....no after taste either.

Sorry to see that. As said before in the thread- cut the end until no more mold is seen and smoke.
