J Fuego Triple 7 (777)

This past weekend at Cigar Cigar Texas Fest I got to meet J Fuego and interview him about his cigars! The man knows what he is doing!! Well that same evening I was gifted on of the Triple 7s from a BOTL I just meet that day (thanks again Bob). So last night on my way to work I decided to light one up.

I'm pretty sure this was a Robusto 5 X 50, it is a Nicaraguan Puro with a Maduro Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper.

The wrapper is very dark, would call it black. It had a little of that barnyard smell you get with a Maduro but you could also smell the rich Nicaraguan tobacco. The cigar light up prefect! Had a nice draw, almost perfect with plenty of smoke (but I would have liked a little more). Over all it had a good burn, I had to touch up one side a couple times, but I think I should have let this set a little longer before smoking it, so I take full blame on that part. You see these cigars where outside all day Sat sitting out in the open air and sun. If you like Maduros and Nicaraguan cigars this is a must try for you. I could really pick out both the Maduro flavor and the rich flavor I always get from a Nicaraguan cigar! Very tasty!

It was a little rough in spots, I think it could use a little rest. But I will for sure be buying and smoking some more of these cigars. If you have not had a J Fuego cigar, they are a must try cigar out there today!! This guy knows what he is doing!

I thought I was the only person to have ever smoked one of these. I was gifted one by a clerk at my B&M. I didn't like it myself - the Cubans in my diet have kind of ruined the meaty non-Cuban maduro cigars lately. But I agree, if you like the spicy, earthy maduro profile, then this is a pretty good cigar for you.

I've had the pleasure of meeting him as well. You are correct, he's a great BOTL! A normal down to earth guy, but a wealth of info. I haven't had these yet, but I think I'm going to have to dig one out. His other stuff is fantastic, so I'm hoping this will be as good or better!

Smoked a 777 this past weekend. Although not as good as the JFuego Delerium, I thought it was a good value smoke.

Jesus is a great guy, one of the finest retailers I've met and spent time around.

I tried the 777 when we first got em, they were WAY too wet. I might go fire one up now, as a matter of fact. We have had them over a month.

I'll report back when I'm done.

This is a pretty good smoke, not great -- but enjoyable -- especially for a cheap smoke.

Re: J Fuego Triple 7 (777)

I had the pleasure of working the J Fuego booth at this year's RTDA exhibition. That's where he introduced the 777. Since I was already spoiled with the original Natural and Reserva lines, I didn't appreciate 777's quite as much. The Delirium, on the other hand, is an ass-kicker.
