Re: Coolidor questions

Another cheap care free method to store your cigars is to use ammo cases. They are air tight and than line them with cedar and a oasis peck or beads and you are in business for less than $10 bucks. Each case holds about 50 cigars. Have five in action for the past ten years.

You should keep an eye out on the devil site. I picked up this unit for a little over $500 a couple years back. I just couldn't pass it up, nobody was bidding on it. At the time I didn't think I would need it but now it is full and I am happy I got it. Good luck.

Most are kept in their boxes and if I get any loose cigars, I place those in boxes which I have picked up at my B&M.

I also have a nice humidor (Spanish Cedar inside, Spanish Leather outside) that will hold up to 50 cigars. That's where I keep any cigars I'm thinking about smoking in the next month or so. Once a month I'll transfer a selection from the cooler to my humidor and then start shopping to replenish my cooler.

Like you, I had never heard of using a cooler until I joined CS and began to really learn about the cigar culture from the excellent members here.
Haha, true enough. This forum is great, I have learned a TON in the last few days !

In fact, yesterday I placed an order for a sampler of Taboo twists. There's a lot of good talk about them here, so I may have found a new cigar to overflow my humidor with

Re: Coolidor questions

When I first started lurking here a couple of years ago I decided to give the coolidor a try. And then another and another until I got a cabinet. It's all the coolidors fault!

Yeah, probably not much need for a cooler up there this time of year.

Also be sure and click the link in my sig to see if you are eligible.

But totally props to those who do, inventiveness is certainly something I don't have
I don't use them to store sticks. As others have noted, and I agree, we use them for storing boxes. If you buy 5-packs a lot, just go to your local B&M and pick up a few cedar boxes.

I do use a desktop humi for individual sticks though.
