Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
I hope this is the right place for this post.
Until a few weeks ago I used to go to the Clombus Circle area for a smoke once a week all most ever Wendesday since I had a meeting down the block. Now the meeting has moved to the area of 114th Street/ Amsterdam and Morningside Drive . I am loking for a place in close by walking distance to the new location. Any one have any ideas I dont wan't to get off the train just for the smoke and then pay another fare to ride until 114th street. |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
Do a search for cigar bars on Citysearch:
http://newyork.citysearch.com/ I personally don't know anything that far up. I only know up to about the 60's or so. Also, try searching on Superpages.com. Rev. |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
Funny, just today I was searching for some other places and didn't see anything listed in that zone. There's one on 73rd and Lexington:
Lexington Bar & Books 1020 Lexington Ave New York, NY 10021 (212) 717-3902 then the next is Portes Cigar up on like 214th st. I was looking for one to go to today and was looking at what's available in the East Village area and was seriously disappointed. One place is a lounge that serves no food or beverages, but you can bring in your own at $8 a person and the other had absolutely insane prices for their cigars. I'm going to check out the Carnegie Club soon as that has drinks, some light fare, and you can bring your own smokes. Best of luck finding a spot! Rev. |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
I've been to the 'Bar & Book's' down on Hudson (636 Hudson @ Horatio) and really liked it (same outfit as Lexington Bar & Books). I brought my own cigars to enjoy with a client & bought premium whiskey flights.
You should try it Rev. |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
Oh man, and what about Club Macanudo...although you might want a reservation and it's a little on the formal side...I haven't been but plan to check it out on my next trip.
26 E. 63rd (betw. Madison & Park) - not upper westside or village but worth a look |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
If I go to 63rd I can go to Clombus Crircle and get back on the train to my stop, I was looking for somthing in walking distance to 114th and Amsterdam and Morningside Drive, so I can get off the train only once.
Thanks, FF |

Re: Looking for A new Cigar place in NYC
Okay, I will play. I am staying 4 or 5 stops into Brooklyn and working 2 stops into Brooklyn. I can take a train to mid-town pretty easy but do not know where to go. I am only here from Monday mornings to Friday mornings so I need a place preferably no farther north than mid-town so I can get back to my hotel easy enough. Any ideas? I know I can catch the A, C, and Rs pretty easy
