Neighbor Says Colorado Man Can't Smoke on His Own Deck - What the Heck!?!

I came across an article on the Colorado Springs Gazette Website where a woman is suing a guy because she doesn't like him smoking on his deck outside, nor inside his home. This is "anti-smoking Nazi-ism" gone overboard.

Here's the article.

First of all, the guy is smoking outside on his deck. Secondly, I highly doubt that the smoke can seep through the walls into her unit. If, by some slim chance that it actually does, then someone built a crappy building that needs to be fixed, and it is not the tenant's responsibility.

I think this woman is just a big drama queen desperate for attention, and she is most happy when she has something to complain about.

That standard has already marked, I work in multifamily, and there are some Condo's in the western states that have sued the neighbor for cig's smell and won!
The have to go OUTSIDE to smoke in the yard at the driveway..
I would shoot through the walls if they infringe on my smoke

This is pretty typical of apartment dwelling. When you live in that close of quarters, you must be more tolerant of people's habits, pets, hours in/out of the building, music, TV levels, cooking odors and a host of other things. This woman is just a bitch. If she doesn't like the freedoms being exercised around her she needs to move, or put her oxygen mask on.

I could have bought the whole story about his cigar smoke seeping in & bothering her to the point to where she feels she has no recourse, but to complain, but the whole hospital visit/oxygen mask horsesh!t went way over the bounds of believability for me.

I have the type of brain that I simply cannot fathom anyone being this selfish and stupid* so i have to come up with alternate explanations. As soon as I finished the article I went off on a wild tangent in my head, using the line about his dead wife, and imagined the enormous affair and sexual tension between this awful woman with an oxygen mask and an old guy with night vision binoculars strapped to his head. Man I need more sleep.

the surprise ending after the torrid affair is that the old duffer had himself and affair years ago with the Neighbors mom and is really her DAD!!!
