Pairing Apple Cider with a Cigar

One of my favorite winter time drinks especially when snowboarding is warm apple cider with Capt Morgan. It just screams cold weather. Never thought about pairing it with a cigar to be honest. May have to experiment this winter.

Yes, distillation of liquor is still illegal in the US. A bill was introduced in 2001 trying to make home distillation legal like homebrewing (which is currently limited to 100 gallons per year, 200 per family) but the bill failed.

As for hard cider and cigars, mmmmmmm! I have 3 gallons fermenting in the basement right now. I picked up the cider from Applewood Farms in Warwick NY. Only $4 a gallon! Going to bottle it next weekend and drink it for Thanksgiving. Still haven't decided which cigars to smoke with it (what a tough decision to be faced with huh?)

Just like cigars and booze, make sure you finish them off and they'll be no evidence to speak of.

Anyone try the seasonal cider beers? I tried some with a Cuban I reviewed here a couple weeks back. Good stuff.
