place to smoke in research triangle park, NC

I will be in north carolina on wednesday evening for business and would like to find a cigar friendly place to have a smoke. I will be near research triangle, not sure of the hotel but I can check on that tomorrow.

I checked the "places to smoke" forum but don't know enough about the area for that to be helpful.

Any suggestions from north carolinians?

There was a couple bars used to smoke at/visit on Franklin St in Chapel Hill. Woody's/Four Corners, Linda's, Goodfellas. Not sure how they are about it now since the campus has gone anti-smoking. (Should have seen it coming, they banned cigarette sells while I was still in school; luckily they waited for the full campus wide ban after I left).

You may not have too much trouble, NC hasn't gone no smoking statewide. I was recently in high point, and found a few places that allowed smoking. Only one I saw banned pipe and cigar smoking.

My whole group (work people and the group we were meeting with) went to the Angus Barn. Very good prime rib! Alas there were no other smokers in the group and, as I was dependent on them for transportation, I did not get to visit the wild turkey lounge and light up.

Prior to going on the trip I called the hotel and asked whether cigars were allowed in smoking rooms. That was a mistake...they said no. WHat if I never asked? So I didn't request a smoking room and when I got there they were all occupied.

Thanks for the suggestions though! It was a good trip nontheless.
