At what point did you know you were hooked?

This is a discussion on At what point did you know you were hooked? within the General Cigar Discussion forums, part of the The Cigar Lounges at Puff category; I knew I was hooked when I got my last credit card bill. I'm actually more a lot more "addicted" ...

I'm actually more a lot more "addicted" to collecting them and shopping than actually smoking them.... the smoking is more enjoyable though.

I don't believe any one of us is addicted to cigars. I know that for myself, I am hooked on the experiance - which is not like any other that you can have.

Re: At what point did you know you were hooked?

It all started when a freind of mine got me a pack of grape phillis . Then after realizing the mistake he got us both a Chateu Fuente and we smoked it on my last day of high school... Now I got a job at a cigar store lol

Re: At what point did you know you were hooked?

I think within the past week or so. I started off just expecting to smoke maybe 2-3 times a month when I signed up in august. Now I have not only filled up my desktop humi, and my lock and lock from walmart. I have just bought a wine cooler (not a vinotemp) off craigslist. Just wondering how long untill I get that thing set up.

Re: At what point did you know you were hooked?

I guess it depends on your definition of hooked. For instance, I have not had a cigar in over a month and now with the time changing back it is just not convenient anymore to smoke them. I have ordered an outdoor fireplace to try but really it is pipe weather now. The thing is if I can't smoke them the way I want to (pleasant weather or in the pool) I have zero desire to smoke cigars at all. I can smoke them in my den but I don't like the tobacco smell it leaves. The pipe is just so much better inside.

Next spring, however, I will start treating my humidor as if it has a revolving door again.
