Guess I won't be smoking any more churches for the year. And here's the view from my chair:

Sigh. Fortunately I'm moving this week and I think I have an indoor area I can convert. But, man this sucks. I love sitting there watching people go by...reading my Kindled NY Times and enjoying an hour or two of the leaf along with a nice drink. It's the whole experience or ritual for me that lets me unwind after work.

Anyone else affected by weather? Maybe I'll move to Arizona soon.
That blows (very cold winds).

This is why I live in Arizona. We do have the heat in the summer...But you can still go out late in evening and with a misting system you will be ok.

How are these? They sound tasty as hell.
A bit warmer tonight at 62* so yeah I got the shorts on!

The Gurkha Black Puros were a slight disappointment. For such a dark wrapper I found them to be quite mild tasting. Not as full-bodied as I had hoped.

Visually you'd expect darker to equal stronger, but I find it's usually the opposite for some reason. The dark wrappers themselves are usually sweeter the darker they get (in my opinion)...it's the fillers that make a stick strong. That's why I like, say, the Gurkha Regent...that sweet Havana 2000 chocolate wrapper around a pretty heavy-bodied stick.

Actually, just the thought of a mild tasting Gurk makes me even more curious to try them now...thanks!

The black puros are my favorite Gurkha. I find them sweet and medium bodied. Wish I had some more. Better check the Devils Site.

if youre looking for a good mild gurkha, i am a pretty big fan on the symphony blend. you can find it on cigarsinternational. theyre good stuff. its a nice break from a palate overloaded by full bodied smokes.

Re: Why it sucks to be an outdoor smoker.

lucky! I wish we had snow like that already.

and that's what a garage is for! just put an old couch in there, a heater to get rid of the sharp sting of cold, put back the garage door and smoke away!
If you get things right you can probably smoke in your shorts in the winter lol

Unfortunately, no garage. Gonna have to build me a mancave one of these days.

Thanks for the Gurkha tips everyone; I'm going to grab a sampler next payday I think.
