Guess I won't be smoking any more churches for the year. And here's the view from my chair:

Sigh. Fortunately I'm moving this week and I think I have an indoor area I can convert. But, man this sucks. I love sitting there watching people go by...reading my Kindled NY Times and enjoying an hour or two of the leaf along with a nice drink. It's the whole experience or ritual for me that lets me unwind after work.

Anyone else affected by weather? Maybe I'll move to Arizona soon.

It's still above 10 degrees F, isn't it?

True story: Three nights ago I was smoking a Partagas out on the porch and I realized that the 'gar had gone out halfway through, but I was still seeing smoke when I breathed out. That's when I knew the end was 'nigh.

You have to close that porch in and get a small heater. You can't go all witer without stogies!

Heh. Maybe I can squat in my fireplace (unlit, of course)...I'll stay warm and the smoke'll go up the chimney!

Forecast for our area this evening: low to mid 60's, clear skies, light winds from the north...

I'd say, it is time for you to migrate south...

Yes... me! I live in New Jersey, right next to NYC, and while we don't have it anywhere near as bad as you it's still cold and rainy lately. I recently tried a cigar bar twice, the same place though, and am finding I don't like it very much as it just gets way too damn smokey in the room. I feel the airflow which seems to be moving well but I just don't think it handles the space well. I come out smelling like a human ashtray and my coat is starting to smell from it so I think I'll refrain from smoking in there again. I might try another place here in Manhattan (where I work) but am realizing I really love outdoor smoking the most. The breath of fresh air in after a puff really brings out the flavor. When smoking in the cigar bar I feel I lose a lot of the flavor cause the next breath is nasty second hand smoke.

Anyhow, I'm with ya man. I want to move to Hawaii! Then I can enjoy my outdoor smoking all the time whether on a balcony, deck, beach, boat, etc

Yup sure is a beatiful time of year, and only going to get better!

But the summers here can be miserable for smoking...nothing like being 103 at night and your sweating your ass off just sitting in your smoking chair....maybe move to San Diego or Hawaii...where its like 85 year round.
