Nope...I didn't even think of it until last night. It looks like we're driving about 12 hours today and Sunday, with only Saturday to spend on Ontario, so I'm not sure we'd have time anyway this trip. But I do go to Montreal quite a bit, so I'd love to get together some day with my Northern BotL!

Well, we're back and safe. Windsor was a blast (of cold air). Seriously great place...very cool people and very fun to explore. The concert was much better than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, there was zero smoking to be had (although I had even brought some robustos with me so I could smoke quickly, but it was just too darn cold and windy).

Highlights: An amazing sushi place. Discovering that the best chicken wings I've ever had (crispy with sauce on them) are from a chain called Pizza Pizza. The view of the Detroit Skyline from our hotel room (that didn't even have wireless internet, btw):


The low points: Driving through Toronto on the 401 at rush hour (an hour and a half!!). The Cuban cigar shop that had mold growing in a box of Vegas Roainas. The manager was very cool though, and let us walk through the humidor even though I couldn't buy anything (I told her I'd be back after the Embargo ends!). Not being able to call RRocket as promised on Saturday morning because our cell was acting freaky and the phone in our room didn't work. Not being able to smoke anything because it was just too windy to stay out for any length of time.


Seriously great time though, and we're looking at returning for a Honeymoon. And, finally, that Herf.

I am in Toronto right now on a working vacation (just got back from seeing Jamie Oliver this afternoon and Tina Turner this evening - gotta keep the wife happy) and actually saw a guy smoking a cigar at a busy intersection. I was floored that a) it was so nice out - defo smoking weather and b) he wasn't arrested!

It's not against the law to smoke (cigars/cigarettes) on the streets in Toronto. It's only against the law to smoke in bars, clubs, or anywhere indoors ---except for your house! However, they are trying to ban smoking in a car with children inside.
