Box of each:
Yikes

Oro Cubano Aniversario Toro
Yard gar category -- can be a fragile cigar that will fall apart OK flavor

Cremosa Cubana Churchill
The worst hand rolled turd I never want to see again in my life, read the thread for a great laugh -- go to the light

Dogue Churchill
Never had it

Don Elias Toro
Not a bad smoke except the ones I had were packaged in a plywood box. The glue flavor took about two years to dissapate. Be careful if they come in a plywood box

Cuba Aliados Cazado Maduro
Cazador? Not a bad little cigar -- say a good yard gar

Perdomo Cantero Maduro Torpedo
Cantero? Perdomo makes ok to great tasting cigars that sometimes have very bad burn problems. Hope this one tastes great on has few burn problems. If they do, store around 65% for an extented period of time.

Sacuba Toro
Not a bad cigar -- good yard gar category.

Value your input.
May your ashes be long and your humidor full.
Some cigars around the same price point that I think are enjoyable. Magellan, Free Cuba, Jericho, & Tierra del Sol. I think Khat gave you good advice -- stick to the fivers and samplers until you get your cigar legs and then go for the boxes. I've gotten to where if I am looking for a deal, I will buy from three people, Rolando Reyes Sr., Rockey Patel, and Nestor Placencia. In buying fivers and samplers, I know that 90% of what these three make, I like. Perdomo cigars I have to be more selective. Good luck in your quest.

I'm not trying to be a smartash here, just trying to help. Someday you'll have coolerdors full of cigars that you don't want to smoke (like me). I have been on a cigar buying freeze here lately & have been astounded at how many dog rockets I have.
Im exactly where you are at.

Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

THere are a lot of so-so cigars there. I think if you are looking to try them, I wuld do some 5 packs first. Especially on the cheap cigars. There are some first rate sticks that you can get for less than $1-2 each there.

I have had the old Cuba Alliados Cazadores in the past and they are a good tasting smoke. I think they are a cuban sandwich.

Exactly. Don't buy anything on a whim because "damn, those are cheap". They're cheap because nobody else wants them. Could be a fluke, sometimes you can get good cigars that seem unpopular. OTOH, you can get some real turds as well. This is my advice that I've learned the hard way: NEVER buy a box of cigars on a whim without knowing what they taste like, unless you get a recommendation from somebody that you know has similar taste in cigars as you do.

At least people making Dogue believe in truth in advertising.

Haven't smoked any of those, but I have read quite a few humorous threads on Cremosas. Gotta read before you buy. Enjoy your smokes.

Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

I don't usually do this, but I bought a box of Aspira robustos on a whim, and because they were cheap.. Not something I normally do, and I had virtually NO recomendation from anyone on them, but it turns out that I REALLY enjoy them.... That doesnt happen very often

Great advise Seangar. Young Luke Skywalker will soon learn the ways of the Cigar Masters.
