Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

Am I reading Cremosa on your list??
I only used cbid a few times, and then I found websites with such great deals on cigars I liked that cbid just wasn't worth it.

Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

Hmm... sounds good.. I'd be willing to bet money that if you bombed SeanGAR or Pnoon or Nooner with some of those Cremosa Cubanas, they'd hit you back with some pretty good sticks. I'm pretty sure Sean has tried em, but I don't think nooner or pnoon ever got to try em. They're being deprived. I've only got one in my humi, so I can't bomb all 3 of em. Bet they hit ya back with some nice stuff! Maybe a tamboril, or a pinar, ever tried either of those?

King Cat is right. That place can drain you. Be sure to check cigarsinternational for the retail prices and check out the reviews before you bid. There are some bargains on there but there are some real stinkers.

Do yourself a favor and shred the credit card right now. I can't seem to stay away from the site myself. Since I've found it, I've had one or more bids in at any given moment.

Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

When faced with a buffet, go for a smaller portion of prime rib verses a plate full of hamburger helper.

I'm not trying to be a smartash here, just trying to help. Someday you'll have coolerdors full of cigars that you don't want to smoke (like me). I have been on a cigar buying freeze here lately & have been astounded at how many dog rockets I have.

As i sit here, eating leftover hamburger helper, i cant help but wonder what you are trying to say.

As far as Cbid is concerned, buy fivers instead of boxes of stuff you have not tried, make sure to check the prices on CI, and shop around on stuff you do buy boxes of, people can and WILL overpay for stuff on cbid.

Ive never had the pleasure of smokin a Cremosa, make sure you post a review and let us know what you thought.

Re: CBID is killing this newbie..HELP!

My rule of thumb on Cbid: don't bid any more than 50% of what you can buy them for any day of the week from any retailer. I seem to lose a lot of smokes this way, but heck, what's the point of an auction format if we can't get a deal?
