Diamond Crown Lounges
Does anyone have experience with attending a Diamond Crown Lounge? My understanding is that DC is in the process of putting in lounges around the country at existing B&Ms that meet its special criteria. The DC website tells you the locations, but does not provide a lot of specifics. There is one in Southfield, MI that is relatively close to me that I am thinking about stopping into on my way home from work tomorrow for a smoke. I'm not normally in the area, but will be driving through it because work is taking me out of the office for the day. I am curious about whether they allow you to bring your own smokes (I would of course buy some of theirs, but I like mine at a lower RH), whether they serve any adult beverages (or non-adult for that matter), or if they will allow you to bring your own, etc. I'd love to hear from anyone with any experience. It would be great to find a new location to smoke during a time when it seems like they seem to be going extinct.

Re: Diamond Crown Lounges
One of our local shops just had their DC Lounge opening. Except for putting up a few new signs, there wasn't any other change to the B&M. Minnesota law doesn't allow a cigar store to pour drinks, so drinks are not a given with the lounge name. From a few friends on other boards, it's sounds like there isn't a set criteria to have the name DC Lounge (drinks, # of seats, # of TVs), it's more of a marketing tool
My rule of thumb about bringing in smokes to a B&M, I'll always buy 1 or 2 when I walk in - most of my local shops know me, and know that I like to let cigars rest before smoking, so they have been pretty good about it. But each B&M is different

Re: Diamond Crown Lounges
My lounge which I mention often here is a diamond crown lounge.
http://www.zarkacigarlounge.com It is the best. We only have beer and wine for now. And it is a great place to have a stogie. We get regular visits from rocky patel (who will be there tonight). Nick perdomo was there last month. Etc. They are all different but all good. |
