There is no set limit quantity. Ideally I'd like to have 10X my yearly consumption while replenishing at least 1X consumption every year. At this stage it's roughly 5X + 1X replenishing.

I am a newbie to this forum, and admit it is due to the fact that I've caught the bug. Somehow the 25ct humidor I have was sufficient for years. Then all of a sudden this year I overflowed. I just purchased a 150ct humi which is still seasoning. I have cigars waiting in ziplocks, and I just know I'm in trouble. Where did I go wrong? haha.

Re: Discussion about "The Slope" - An Introspective

I started with tupperdors until I could figure out what I wanted to do...then I got smart and the first humi purchase I made was one of those 250 count domed humi's (of course, good luck getting 250 sticks in there...maybe if all you're putting in are corona sized)...since then I've added 2 more 150 count humis (again, size is relative)...of the smaller ones, one is sorta dedicated to CC's...and the other small one has the ultra premium sticks...the large one hiold premiums and everything else...as far as what I'm putting in them, I'm really beginning to narrow things down to about a half dozen brands of NC's (stogies of various sizes within those brands) and maybe 3 or 4 brands of CC's...

I watched them for three months, and decided they weren't ever going to be on sale, so I bought one last week anyway ($100). My 75-qt still has the smokes that won't fit in my two humidors. I haven't moved everything into the new 150 yet. I bought the 75 with every intention of using it as an actual cooler, as soon as I could find and buy a 150 on sale. I swear I'm not going to move everything to the 150 and then fill the 75 right back up, too. Really, I swear! I'll go buy another 150 before I do that!

Sliding down the slope is fun. It's like going down the slide at the playground while sitting on a sheet of wax paper.

Quit lying to yourself. Admitting you have a problem is the first step.

I don't have a "problem"! I can quit any time I want!

As soon as I get the 60 that are on the way from c-bid. And maybe just a couple others.

Seriously, though, for the amount of camping I get to do, the 150 is too big and the 75 is just right. Besides, the 150 has a much better seal. I know, it's inevitable that I will fill the 150 before too long, but I'll buy another one before I'll use the 75 for storage. It's OK, for short term, but I have ambient RH under 30%, so I need the one with the best seal possible.
