Current prices.

Howdy all, as I'm still kinda new to the cigar world, I was wondering if anyone has noticed a decline in cigar prices due to our current economic slow down. I'm assuming that cigars are more or less considered a "luxury" item and that means prices usually drop in hard times.
If there has been a decline in prices, I'm thinking this would be a great time to load up.
So whata ya thunk? Load up or wait and see if dealers start offering great deals?

Very good question. I haven't noticed the prices go down at my B&M and that's pretty much the only place I shop. I did buy some awesome AF Anejo Sharks from a brother on here who needed to raise some cash and have noticed quite a few BOTL/SOTL on here lately looking to sell some of their stash either to make room or to pay the bills. You can definitely find some very nice deals offered up by our very nice members.

Not to get off subject but I've seen the terms BOTL, SOTL and Herf on these forums but have not been able to find a definition for them. Care to enlighten this humble newbie?

BOTL= Brother Of The Leaf

SOTL= Sister Of The Leaf

HERF is like a get together of cigar lovers, Im not sure what the letters mean

I wish that the pricing would come down and in select environments the holidays are usually a catalyst for "sales" of cigar specials. I hate to see the brothers having to sell off their stock of good cigars under these hard economic times but understand that sacrifices are sometimes part of the equation to get back to an even footing.

For the most part, the prices have remained the same at the B&M’s around me. Except for the hard to find stuff. Well, those prices are slowly creeping up. Keep your eyes peeled here. There are some great deals to be found.
