Percent of Cuban cigars

Probably a stupid question...................
In locations such as Miami, Florida which have such a high population of Cuban citizens, what percentage of cigars smoked do you believe are Cuban cigars? I ask, because my friends father lives in Miami, and offered to purchase Cuban cigars anytime I wanted. I was a little confused by the ease the offer was presented. The statement came across, as if he would just walk into the local B&M, and purchase a boxs or two.

It would be a very low percentage that are authentic Habanos. Now if you include counterfeits, it would be a whole different story.

No, I am not looking to buy any Cuban cigars. Like I said, my friends father just offered to mail me some for the Holidays.

Any Cuban cigars that are purchased in the US that the source is not "known" are suspect. The story usually goes like this. My brother knows a guy who has a frined......

Not any, but probably 90% chance or better they would be fake. A friend of a friend, who knows a guy story more often than not ends up in fake cigars.

I'm trying to save the guy from making a mistake. If I said 95% of CCs in Miami were fake, he's talk himself into thinking he found the good 5%. The only CCs I'd trust in Miami would be owned by a BOTL on this forum most likely.

My (very inexperienced) understanding is that in Miami, this statement is likely not overboard, sadly.

I am not buying anything. My friend said his father would send them to me as a gift. I will take a free cigar any day of the week. The idea that the cigars would be Cuban just caught my attention.

A man went to his Rabbi and said, My friend did such a big sin that he is embarrassed to come him self to ask what he should do so g od will for give him, so he sent me to ask. The clever Rabbi answerd him. Why didn't your friend come and ask and say my friend asked me to ask.
