Using Oasis foam

I started a new cooler last night and instead of buying another 1 1/2 pounds of beads, I'm using the Oasis floral foam with a 60-40% mixture of poly glycol and distilled water. Right now, after being in the empty cooler overnight, the humidity is at 70%.

Since I've never used the Oasis foam for more than a week, I would like to know if there are any adverse effects of long term usage. Personally, I think 70% is too high and would rather it be around 65%, but I'm okay with where it is now.
