Short answer:

No, not directly.

Longer answer:

I am one of the owners Jon bought out. I used to own Cigar-Review.com. It was part of my job then, and it is now, to stay on top of cigar industry happenings and report on them.

Also, for full, complete 100% disclosure, Cigars International (through their ownership of Cigar.com) has been an advertiser on Cigar-Review.com since day 1, in 2005, and has been one of the biggest supporters of the site.

However, they did not contact me directly about this subject. I stumbled across it by chance in an online PR service and decided to publish it as a service and topic of interest to our readers.

That's my job. It has nothing to do with their advertising. It remains totally separate. Our policy at CR and Puff is that Editorial and Advertising are 100% separate. As my job is creating useful, relevant content that helps grow and maintain an audience, and correlates to advertising revenue, then there is the relationship to profit.

I don't get one dollar more or one dollar less for the amount of hits they get. I answer this even though it's really nobody's business. No offense.

After reading the piece you have written it is not clear to me if you have visited the place or used their online service, but then my comprehension skills may not be the best. If so, could you share some first hand experience? It certainly looks interesting.
I have not personally visited the place.

Re: Largest Walk In Humidor in the Midwest

Literally less than two miles from my house.

Unfortunately... (please don't be offended if this is your favorite place, or if you are affiliated with this place in any way)... it's not really that impressive. Yes, it's a large humidor. But it's not that much larger than many others in the area.

In the end, for me anyway, while selection is a great-great-thing, it mostly comes down to price doesn't it? The prices here are relatively close to most of the other larger retailers in the area (quite a bit higher than many of the smaller retailers), and honestly I was kind of dissapointed in the prices of the Fuente cigars.

No comment yet on the smoking lounge, as I haven't partaken there, but I do plan on purchasing there in the future (likely those dozens of brands they're bound to carry that you can't find anywhere else) and will make a point of enjoying their smoking area.

Sorry... don't mean to rain on anybody's parade... it's a great looking place. It's just not that much greater than many, many others that are pretty close as well. Selection is good, but price is king.

If you think that's big, then go to JR's in Statesville, NC. That place is three-four times bigger than that humi.

And they have some real good people working there. Good in the "southern" sense.
