Unfortunately... (please don't be offended if this is your favorite place, or if you are affiliated with this place in any way)... it's not really that impressive. Yes, it's a large humidor. But it's not that much larger than many others in the area.

In the end, for me anyway, while selection is a great-great-thing, it mostly comes down to price doesn't it? The prices here are relatively close to most of the other larger retailers in the area (quite a bit higher than many of the smaller retailers), and honestly I was kind of dissapointed in the prices of the Fuente cigars.

No comment yet on the smoking lounge, as I haven't partaken there, but I do plan on purchasing there in the future (likely those dozens of brands they're bound to carry that you can't find anywhere else) and will make a point of enjoying their smoking area.

Sorry... don't mean to rain on anybody's parade... it's a great looking place. It's just not that much greater than many, many others that are pretty close as well. Selection is good, but price is king.
Hello my name is Tommy Manager of The Cigar Factory Outlet and CigarFox.com I do appreciate your feedback. I am not sure who in the area has a humidor close to the size of ours let alone like "many many others" selection yes is very important and I pride myself on that if there is a product a customer would like I try my hardest to get it in and provide for him I dont try to steer them into something else that we make more money on or is easy for me to put him into. Like I said before I do appreciate your feedback however your facts are totally skewed and incorrect there is no one even close to us on pricing in the area and when say area I mean the state of Michigan. Not to mention I guarantee the lowest price on everything we sell we also offer Buy 5 Get 1 Free on EVERYTHING I constantly get phone calls from my manufacturers that our prices our to low we need to raise them or the competition is complaining claiming I am driving them out of business. I have no reason to lie about this you can ask around I built this business on the basis of an EDLP Business model and I stick by it! Arturo Fuente is a price contracted item that has to be sold for a certain amount dictated by Fuente/Newman if there is somone in MI lower then me they our breaking the Fuente contract and won't be priced there much longer. In the end I am not claiming to be "that much greater" than anyone that is not the point of this post I look at all competition as compliments to our industry all have nice shops however some things need to be set straight when my place is misspoken about. Yes there are thing that I get that no one else can get due to our large sales numbers through each of the manufacturers and our caliber of shop. If you are in next time and there is something that is not totally up your standards or a ? regarding pricing please let me know and I will make it right!

Tom, good to see you are a member here. I actually emailed you on Friday asking where you were located because I couldn't find the address online. You emailed me right back and I actually got another email from Dan today also responding to my inquiry. Impressive response times! I live only a couple of miles away myself and will be popping in sometime soon to check the place out. Probably not this weekend with all the family obligations, but soon. I'll look forward to meeting you then.

Complete mea-culpa on this one. I apologize.

After posting my last response in this topic, I made it a point to stop by your shop. In fact, I swung by on Sunday to find you closed and returned first thing after work on Monday. I was the guy looking for the Tatuaje's.

Looking back on my first post, I must say I was completely off base here. I'm not sure what I was remembering about my previous visit to your store, or why it was so slanted, but the place literally blew me away while I walked through it. Not only was the selection much larger than I remembered it (whether that's because of me being there so long ago or what), but the prices were much more reasonable than I remembered as well.

In fact, I'm still in awe simply by the amount of Gurkha product you had on your shelves. I've honestly never seen so much in all other area stores put together (including Smokey's in Birmingham, which was the other humidor I was comparing your shop to). Simply amazing.

I will admit to being a bit disappointed in the selection of Hemingways you had, but truth-be-told I could have been missing several boxes of them among the shelves and shelves of cigars (just as I did with the Tat's).

You can rest assured that my previous statements have been retracted, and I will certainly be visiting your store again in the near future. Frankly I was ashamed to have only bought one stick, forgoing your 5/1 deal. No opinion one way or the other on your pricing yet, as I didn't have anything on hand to compare it to directly, but if it's as good as advertised I'm sure I'll start seeing the differences in future visits.

I'm now a member of your mailing list, as well as a soon-to-be regular.

By the way, the lounge, which I didn't have any comments about previously, is quite a nice place. Hopefully I'll have a couple of opportunities to spend some time in there in the near future.

The Tat's are there, but I usually hide them when I go in so no one else will find them.
